Originally from
Detroit, comedian, actor, writer, Tony Roberts,
is blessed with the coveted honor of being the,
"Comedians-comedian". The guy other
performers love to watch work. His hilarious and
refreshing comedy style has granted him this respect
and created a huge demand for him on the comedy
circuit, here in the states and abroad. Legendary
comedian and sitcom director, David Steinberg,
exclaims Tony as, "A breakout talent"
after witnessing Tony's stand-up and casting him
as lead, in a successful series of funny Burger
King commercials he directed.
Tony's television debut was on HBO's,
"DEF COMEDY JAM", followed by, "IT'S
SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO" and "BET's COMIC
VIEW". In 1994, he received the, BET ROBIN
HARRIS AWARD, for Most Original Comic. A favorite
on the program, to date Tony has appeared on COMIC
VIEW, four times.
His club appearances cracked up audiences
in some of the nations hottest comedy spots including;
Caroline's, The Boston Comedy Club in New York
City, The Peppermint Lounge in New Jersey, All
Jokes Aside in both Chicago and Detroit, The Comedy
Act Theater in Los Angeles, just to name a few.
As an actor, he toured with the comedy
stage production of, "Ain't Nothin' Like
Family". He was cast in a CBS sketch pilot
titled, "Just Add Water". And he founded
a sketch comedy troupe, which he writes and directs
called, "The Other Level".
Soon to be a household name,
Tony T. Roberts, now makes New York City his home
base where he continues to bring his creative,
non-stop comedy. Just give him a stage and a microphone
