The Legendary Queen Of Rap Roxanne
Shante' made her mark at the early age of 14 with
her monumental hit single entitled "Roxannes
Revenge". The single soared, placing her
at the top of The Rap game, it also helped catapult
a new and not so well received form of music into
mainstream. Yielding constant airplay stateside
and Abroad ( UK) Shante' was swept away in the
whirlwind of instant demand. Along with legends,
Run DMC, LL Cool J, The Sugar Hill Gang and countless
scores of others, these innovators paved the way
for today's biggest moneymaking market. Shante'
is recognized for her contribution to Hip-Hop
and Rap in Libraries all across the Globe. Today
she's a strong Independent woman holding more
than just a microphone. Shante' now holds a Degree
in Psychology. DR Roxanne Shante' has retired
from Hip-Hop and enjoys her new career and her
new found freedom. Life after Hip-Hop hasn't been

by the United Nations as a Culture. Roxanne Shante',
KRS1and African Bambatta are all Ambassadors to
the UN representing The Hip-Hop Culture. She's

and How to Prepare for a Life after Hip-Hop to

In 1999 "Sprite" approached
Shante to spearhead "Sprites Five Deadly
Women" Campaign, Shante accepted. Her character
"The Black Widow" pegged her as the
leader of The Old School defending The New School
Female MC's. Under her protection were Rap phenomena's
EVE, AMIL, MIA X, and NY's Hottest Radio Personality
ANGIE Martinez. Producer Swizz Beats, Kool Keith
and (Shante's Godmother) Millie Jackson were also
featured. Roxanne Shante' recently Wooed!! the
2001 BRE Conference in Washington DC and the 2001
Billboard and Bet Conference and Awards Event
in New York. Dr. Rox knocked em' out the Box on
Rap City DA Basement as she Battled Tigger and
Comedian ""Hits."" DR. Roxanne
Shante is a distinguished Keynote Speaker, she
