Lisa Alvarado is one funny Latina! She has transformed her unique life experiences as a Single Parent into a hilarious comedy routine. Her natural charisma on stage, beauty, and sense of humor make her the complete package.

Born in Chicago to Peruvian parents, Lisa Alvarado knew she wanted to be a Stand Up Comedian at an early age.

She writes all her own material and enjoys teaching and writing for other stand up comedians. She also toured with The Player's Workshop of Second City in Chicago performing Improv, which has given her impeccable comedic timing.

Lisa Alvarado's talent as a Comedian has given her the opportunity to perform all across America as well as in several Regional Comedy Festivals. She currently performs in the top clubs nationally, colleges, and corporate shows. Lisa Alvarado's TV appearances include NBC's ULast Comic Standing", Nick at Nite's "The Search for the Funniest Morn in America 2", SiTv, and uQue Loco Comedy Jam" to name a few.

According to Carol Leifer, Lisa Alvarado's comedy has a Ureally great point of view and attitude, and comedy that people haven't seen before...a really fresh voice." When Katey Sagal saw her perform, she said, UI loved it, it was great!" Recently, the New York Times wrote an article featuring Lisa called UA Morn's Riff on the Parodies of Parenthood" in which they quoted one of Lisa's favorite jokes, u...And I'm not even the typical Latina...because I got pregnant in my Late teens."

Lisa Alvarado now resides in Los Angeles while she is happily pursuing her acting and comedy career.
