Lemon is currently starring in San Francisco’s stage adaptation of Def Poetry Jam. A show that is Broadway
bound. This New York City bred ‘street poet’ appeared on the debut episode of Russell Simmons' Presents
HBO's Def Poetry Jam and the response was so great that he was only one of four out of forty showcased
poets on the debut season to return for the second season!
Lemon’s four years of professional performance poetry include gigs at The New York Theatre Workshop where he appeared in "Slanguage," a poetic play that he co-wrote. He’s been featured in "The Ride" and "U," both poetic plays. Lemon’s had several showcases at the Andy Warhol Museum and at the world-renowned Nuyorican Poet’s Cafe.
His national list of venues include: Joe's Pub, Labyrinth Theatre, Symphony Space, Princeton University, Rutgers University of Massachusetts, Bard College, Sarah Lawrence College and New York University. Lemon can also be seen performing a tribute piece to the fallen, the families and the heroes of 9/11 on NBC’s Concert for America, which airs September 11th.
