Frenchie Davis' life’s passion and work is based on empowerment, knowledge and poetic testimonials that will help ensure the intimate growth of adolescent adults and their communities.
As a humanitarian committed to positively uplifting the pride and progress of young people she is only at the beginning of her contributions in her career. This initiative has begun with a host of positions from producing and launching poetry events in her home town-Detroit all the way to New York City. Coined as the Erotic Philanthropist, she is most recognized by her debut on HBO Presents Def Poetry Jam by Russell Simmons. She has used her erotic platform to launch her mission and efforts to examine the dynamics of the AIDS virus in minority communities, devising and implementing solutions to lower the impact of the pandemic and identifying tools that are most effective in educating the uninformed. Additionally she is versed in troubleshooting the institutional failure of dysfunctional families resulting from emotional and physical abuse. For three years Davis served as a live-in residential manager for a domestic violence crisis shelter. Even with a management and social services background, no experience prepared her for living round the clock with the second hand trauma from her clients direct suffering. She was triumphant in mastering her position as a domestic violence counselor and residential assistant at Bailey Holt House a AIDS haven located in the heart of Manhattan, New York. It is with this expertise Davis continues to implement sex education workshops for high schools and colleges in-throughout the United States and Europe. With these positions she's come to understand the diverse reasons so many young adults fall victim to sexual and emotional neglect. It is because of this rare nourishment that Davis commits herself to the emotional and social strengthening of her audiences.
Frenchie is going far with her plight to give educational awareness to often quieted intimate epidemics. She continues to add to her Bachelors of Psychology by pursuing her studies oversees at the Universitiet van Amsterdam, in the Netherlands at the Summer Sex institute, and her Masters of Education in Human Sexuality. Davis possesses a rare take on abstinence and sexuality. Her poetic content and efforts lends itself to a sexual understanding and pride. Her platform consists of sexual substance over sex or abstinence; she believes that Sexually Transmitted Diseases are merely the symptoms of Emotionally Transmitted Diseases, thus allowing each individual to make their own choices but an educated healthy choice. Frenchie has a full plate, from being a self-published poet and writer of her debut book, "Not From Between My Thighs", to relationship panelist for local and international radio stations like BBC, opening for musical artist and poetry programs or looking for the cure to the rise in sexual and emotionally transmitted diseases. “So, when the condoms are left on the dresser or in the store, don’t forget to check under the bed for the demons on the floor”.
